According to the latest statistics on car accidents, there will be about 90 fatal car accidents today. Many of these tragic incidents will be caused by obvious things, like distracted driving, drunk driving, speeding, and more.
However, what these auto accidents statistics don’t tell you is that a small portion of crashes can’t really be classified. There are crazy car accidents caused by even crazier things every year. Here are just a few of the stranger things that have actually caused accidents.
Being Chased by the Police. Amanda Jeffries, 27-years-old at the time, stole a white pickup truck back in 2012. Once the police confirmed that the vehicle was stolen, they engaged Jeffries in a high-speed chase for four minutes, which eventually ended with Jeffries crashing into the San Angelo police headquarters.
Too Much Trash. One of the grossest, crazy car accidents happened back in 2007, when 53-year-old Ann Biglan couldn’t stop her car properly because of the copious amounts of trash in the vehicle. Police reported that several pieces of trash slipped and fell onto the pedals, which caused her to lose control of her vehicle. A Ford Focus filled floor to ceiling with garbage would cause one of the weirdest, crazy car accidents ever, wouldn’t it?
Because He Saw His Mother. Another of the most crazy car accidents happened in 2012, too. A 13-year-old boy stole a car, and wound up driving into the opposite lane, where he then crashed into a tree. What could be so distracting? Oh, just his mom. The boy was taken to a nearby hospital and received treatment for a broken nose and a hip injury.
And to think, these are just a few of the crazy car accidents that have happened in the past. If you know of any others, feel free to share in the comments.
